Engineering Designer (CAD) Contract - 6-12 Months Unigraphics

Role: Engineering Designer (CAD) (Unigraphics, and NX 7.5)
Location: Wiltshire

Salary: Up to £25-£30 HR

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Engineering Designer looking to take the next step with a globally market leading client.

Applicants must have a sound Engineering background preferably from a time served apprenticeship and ideally be educated to HNC standard along with a good understanding of Engineering drawing practices in particular BS 8888 and relevant ISO standards.

Your main duties will include the development and preparation of 3D models and detailed 2D Engineering drawings using Siemens/Unigraphics NX 7.5 3D CAD system, working in a multi disciplined team with in the Swindon. You will collaborate closely with the development and manufacturing engineers. Applicants should be skilled in the use of ONE of the globally used first-rate 3D CAD systems preferably Siemens/Unigraphics NX and have excellent communication/engineering documentation skills. Experience of Teamcenter would also be highly desirable.

The position will report directly to the Engineering Design Manager.

A flexible attitude is required together with a desire and ability to satisfy company objectives in a timely and cost effective manner. A structurally organised and analytical approach is required to duties that will include day-to-day D.O. tasks and Engineering Changes along with the preparation of drawings to clearly define NPD products to enable manufacture.
