For our client in Munich we are hiring an Engineering Department Manager (f/m).

Location: Munich

Working hours: 40h / week

Employment model: Permanent position

Tasks:

HSE:

* Ensure development is achieved according to HSE standards and develop HSE mindset within his/her team

* Make sure that all safety rules and 5S rules are applied by his/her team

Department management:

* Is responsible to reach the financial targets set up with his/her manager (hours / travel costs / investments / gross costs) and maintain regular reporting

* Identify and estimate the changes in budget and maintain the hourly rate of the department by different means

* Contribute to the recruitment and development process of his/her team members

* Ensure they have the right competencies and determine the trainings to put in place with the support of HR and hierarchy

* Follow and anticipate the group workload to ensure a good management of the resources

* Ensure full team autonomy

Project development:

* Contribute with the Metier to successful program launches through robust design for manufacturing mindset

* Contribute to hours and cost reduction by a "right first time" approach (adherence of standards)

* Ensure usage and adherence to standards

* Ensure technical relationship with suppliers & partners (suppliers, subcontractors)

"Metier" and competences development:

* Contribute to standards and processes development and improvements to reach the D&D and division objectives (D&D cost reduction, etc ): e.g. Make proposals in the continuous improvement process (achieve OPL target...)

* Contribute to the standards and competencies for the new technologies

* Ensure capitalization of lessons learnt in his/her activity

Competences:

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering

* Management skills and leadership

* Technical engineering skills

* Project management

* Good command of English

Experience:

* First management experience, experience in 50 % of the specialities they manage (e.g.: CAE, geometry, rheology, injection, tooling)
