Engineering Course Design Officer (DSAT) - Berkshire

Our client wish to appoint a Course Design Officer. You will supervise and work as part of a team to Design, Develop and Maintain course training packages in accordance with the Army Recruitment Training Directorate (ARTD) and the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) requirements.

The key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:
Review Training Objectives (TOs). Produce controlled Course Training Package (CTP) documents. Produce specific course packages to meet specific requirements. Produce and evaluate Précis, Examinations and Assessment Packages. Deliver Pilot courses with Instructors (where necessary). Evaluate requirements and need for new training aids and advise on purchase of training aids. Review suitability of Computer Based Training (CBT).

Must have Degree or HND in relevant subject area. Knowledge of military environment & equipment, with recent military training experience. An instructional qualification, backed up by experience in this role. Ability to research new subjects, design and develop new materials for précis, assignments and projects. Knowledge of technical authorship. Carry out personal development to keep abreast of changes in technology

Skills & Competencies:
Ability to manage people. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Packages.. The ability to work on their own when required. Working within a quality management system. Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements. Competency applicable to the post, training will be given.

Candidates must hold or be willing to undergo SC security clearance.
