ENGINEERING CONSULTANT - MEDICAL DEVICES

On behalf of our client, one of the largest medical devices companies based in Schaffhausen we are looking for an ENGINEERING CONSULTANT with fluent GERMAN AND ENGLISH.

This is a challenging, contracting position with option of an extension starting in January 2016 until September 2016.

You, as ENGINEER CONSULTANT with proven track experience in the MEDICAL DEVICE AREA will support the implementation of the device constituent and secondary packaging for combination products. Acting as an engineering consultant for medical devices products, you will be responsible for DESIGNING THE TRANSFER ACTIVITIES incl. the qualification of manufacturing equipment and the process validation. Your valuable Project Support includes the PREPARATION AND OVERSIGHT OF PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES incl. preparation and organization of transportation studies. Another key task of this challenging project is THE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF TEST DATA to identify problems and optimize the process. In overall, you will collaborate with the site operations by supporting any improvements to the process and/or equipment to ensure the reliability at the highest possible levels.

YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:

- A DEGREE (M.SC., B.SC.) in ENGINEERING or a scientific degree
- A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS' EXPERIENCE in THE MEDICAL DEVICE AREA
- Scientifc or engineering expertis with demonstrable results to deliver new products or sustain existing products
- Strong experience working with FDA REGULATED DESIGN CONTROL, Change Control and ISO 13485, MEDICAL DEVICES etc.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR REGULATORY PURPOSE using the European Medical Device Directive (MDD)
- GERMAN AND ENGLISH BOTH FLUENT
