Engineering Checklist Tool Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Work on the development of technologies that improve the efficiency and repeatability of designing, staging, installing, configuring, and managing mission critical communication networks. Work very closely with engineering groups involved in product development, system testing, and system engineering to design, implement, and test new solutions.
- Development of a new "Engineering Checklist" tool which will be used in the staging of voice and data networks to track project completion status following provided requirements.
- Interface with end users (engineers and PMs) as well as developers to refine requirements as needed and receive feedback on design decisions.
- Clearly document technical design as well as produce rough draft end-user documentation.
- Actively participate in code reviews with development team.
- Analyze existing engineering tools and databases as required for developing and integrating the new Engineering Checklist.

SKILLS

Must have a good understanding of wired and wireless networks, how a network works, IP schemes and naming conventions, mesh networks and how the AP's interacted between bases and slaves. Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
Must have a CS, EE, or CE degree and a minimum of 2 years practical experience on.NET projects. Expertise in developing ASP.NET web applications (C#) is essential. Windows forms background is highly desired as well. Strong SQL query skills and practical experience working with web services required. The ability to analyze database tables and relationships and construct effective queries in a complex environment is a critical aspect of this position. Must have an understanding of the fundamentals of IIS 7 and publishing web applications with a demonstrated ability to create ASP.NET web interfaces compatible with mobile devices. Printed examples of past work are strongly encouraged. Working knowledge of HTML 5 and familiarity with Telerik Controls for ASP.NET are highly desired.
