ENGINEERING ADMINISTRATOR - WEST MANCHESTER

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Administrator based in West Manchester for a long term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a demanding and growing environment. 

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the generation of parts books.
- Extracting manufacturing BOM's (Bill of Material) information and importing into a parts authoring environment.
- Compiling parts information for use in parts books and on-line parts information systems.
- Using Iso-Draw to convert 3D/JT Models into 2D parts book Illustrations to be used by customers to correctly identify spare parts.
- Loading service part numbers into warehouse system (POPIMS) to allow procurement activity to start.
- Contribute to team targets for producing parts books within agreed time frame.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

- Good IS/IT skills (Majority of time in this role is spent manipulating data and matching up part numbers with illustrations and models).Contribute to team targets for producing parts books within agreed time frame.
- Managing Bills of Material/Managing Design Changes within Bills of Material/Parts listing.
- Ability to recognise engine spare parts/components by description/drawing/shape.
- Use of technical illustration packages, eg Iso-Draw, manipulation of CAD models.
- Microsoft applications, typically Excel.
- Experience of industrial diesel engines, automotive parts, agricultural equipment/machinery.
