Engineer/Transport Planner, Transport Development Control, £28 per hou

Engineer/Transport Planner based in Oxford (OX1) - required to work in Transport Development Control providing professional and technical advice on the transportation effects/highway impacts of planning proposals.

As Engineer/Transport Planner you will:

- Advise on the transport implications/highways impacts of pre-application development proposals as part of Transport Development Control
- Assess planning applications including advising and making recommendations on their transportation implications
- Provide high-quality and timely responses to district and county council consultations
- Advise on Transport Assessments and Travel Plans presented in support of development proposals and carry out transport assessments on development proposals
- Negotiate appropriate financial contributions towards transportation services and infrastructure required arising from planning applications

The ideal candidate will have:

- Membership of The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT)
- Experience working in Transport Development Control, analysing planning application from a highway and transport perspective
- Minimum of an HNC/D in a relevant subject
