Engineer II

EXPERIENCE:

- 3-5 years professional experience. 
- Design and develop custom cables that meet various requirements; electrical, mechanical, environmental, DQT, Service, EMC, etc. 
- Technical knowledge in cable design and construction. Understands cable manufacturing practice/process, tooling, prototyping, material selection, wire sizing, contact material, flammability rating, etc. 
- Generates cable design specifications and detailed drawings in 2D. 
- Participates and contributes during Design reviews with cross functional teams to identify and gather specifications for cable design. 
- Strong organizational skills. 
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors. 
- Ability to multi-task 
- Strong troubleshooting skills. 
- Ability to read electrical/wiring schematics on the PCB assembly to develop and verify pinout table used on the cable design. 
- Familiar with IPC (610, Electronic Assemblies and 620, Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) Specifications 
- Working knowledge of EMC requirements (proper shielding of cables) 
- Some 2D/3D CAD tool experience (SolidWorks or Pro Engineer) -- not required
- Product Lifecycle support of commercial OEM devices within the ultrasound system. 
- Responsible for all design documentation, including test development and test reporting. 
- BS in EE, ME, or Electronics
