Engineer

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.
- Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
- Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.
- This person will be expected to conduct modelling of engine system dynamics as well as perform data analysis of field issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Candidates for this job will have a BS (minimum) or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, or General Engineering with a strong emphasis in control theory and system dynamics.
- Theoretical and/or industrial experience with diesel (preferred) or gasoline engines is required.
- This includes engine emissions & performance algorithm/strategy development.
- Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink development tools is desired, and candidate must be capable of troubleshooting engine systems via PC based tools, standard lab instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- In addition to high technical ability, candidates must be willing to get their hands dirty with engine system hardware, test engine controls in the lab as well as in application, and think/act on problems outside their area of expertise.
