Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity? Look no further! Our client, who has a chemical facility located in Painesville, is in need of a Mechanical Engineer to act as the project lead. This is a great opportunity!

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Function as a designer, estimator, construction coordinator, and project leader in the field of mechanical engineering, particularly in the realm of facilities mechanical systems design

·          Provide technical assistance in the field of mechanical engineering

·          Develop mechanical system design concepts for multi-discipline projects

·          Act as project leader for a significant project workload, with responsibility for meeting the technical objectives of the project within the assigned budget, project reporting, and project closure

·          Maintain a proficient working knowledge of the codes and standards that apply to the

·          mechanical engineering discipline, including the ASHRAE standards, NFPA Codes, the ASME Codes, and the Ohio Basic Building Code

·          Train peers and internal suppliers in standard processes and procedures, and assist in the development of technical staff in the area of mechanical systems design

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

·          Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering

·          Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering and design of facilities mechanical systems and applications, including steam and condensate systems, fire protection systems, piping systems and other facilities infrastructure services and utilities

·          Minimum 2 years of project management experience, with an established track record of successful projects. Project management experience may be in engineering or construction.

·          Ability to demonstrate and apply the basic principles of mechanical engineering

·          Ability to engage in creative problem-solving and to develop new technical processes and procedures when needed

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

·          Process systems design knowledge

·          MBA degree

·          Knowledge of the Project Management module of SAP
