Engineer

Description:
Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. Work with hydraulic cylinder suppliers to maintaining quality and delivery metrics and troubleshoot issues. Job requires good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate not only with suppliers but also with other supporting departments like Product Groups and Operations to trouble shoot problems and to work for mitigation.
Previous engineering experience required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Should have the ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Also should be able to effectively read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP. Exposure to working with suppliers for development of new specifications/components. Knowledge of QCLDM, assessment of suppliers and quality management systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
