ENERGY/UTILITIES BUSINESS ANALYST NEEDED FOR A LONG-TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITH YOH'S CLIENT LOCATED IN CHARLOTTE, NC.

Please note that this position does not allow for working remotely, as such the incumbent must be able to work onsite in client's Charlotte, NC location.

Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position will participate as a member of an IT business facing team that facilitates the planning and use of IT technologies related to the Commercial Business Renewables, Transmission, and Strategic functions with a goal of enhancing the business units' experience with IT and optimizing IT resources for the enterprise.
- This position will work with the business to identify technology opportunities and solutions that will provide value to the business and alignment with the IT enterprise architecture and enterprise application portfolio.
- This role will lead or participate in collaborative reviews of the business application portfolio identifying issues with application health, sustainability, and function along with enterprise and technology directions to provide input into business technology plans.
- This role will assist with the development of Business Technology Plans working with the business and other team members. As a member of the team you will work with application delivery, support, IT operations and business teams to develop cost estimates for business cases for the business units' technology initiatives.
- This role will be required to review new wind and solar site contracts to define the IT Telecom, Networking, SCADA/Control System, Energy Management System Integration, and Reporting requirements.
- This role will develop or assist with the writing of preliminary, initiate, commit or emergent business cases.
- The position includes supporting, communicating, coordinating and working with business leaders and subject matter experts, architects, developers, telecom, other IT resources, vendors and other key business stakeholders involved in strategic planning processes as well as facilitating business units interactions with the IT organization when required.
- The Senior IT Business Analyst will be responsible for coordinating, planning and monitoring business technology plans and portfolio of software applications and communications used by and involved in projects for the business groups.
- The role also supports business and technology process governance and customer relationship collaboration for all related business and IT stakeholders and groups.
- This role will provide system management support for vendor systems and vendor system interfaces.
- This role will require participation in a 24/7 On-call rotation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Ability to relate technology solutions to business problems and communicate these solutions effectively to non-technical people.
- Education: Bachelors Degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in Information Technology with experience interfacing with business and technology teams or as a member of a business technology team.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills related to bringing people or groups with divergent interests into alignment and agreement on common goals and objectives.
- Very strong documentation and written communications skills.
- Working understanding of a wide range of enterprise technologies.
- Understanding of Commercial Business Renewables (wind and solar) and Transmission business processes.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships and to effectively interact with clients having a wide variety of job functions, responsibilities and job titles.
- Knowledge of processes for developing application roadmaps, business plans, strategies, operational models and associated business processes.
- Understanding of the technology footprint leveraged by the business unit: applications, information and infrastructure.
- Experience in a lead project delivery role.
- Experience with a wide array of technologies and the ability to apply that knowledge when dealing with business issues and initiatives.
