Energy Geopolitical Analyst - Oil/Gas Consultancy Do you have an interest in the Oil and Gas industry? Do you enjoy reading and producing analysis and insight into geopolitical, economic and social issues that may influence the Oil and Gas sector? If the answer is yes then please read on?. My client is one of the largest multinational Oil and Gas Consultancies in the world and they are seeking a Geopolitical Analyst to join their expanding team based in Edinburgh to focus on the African region. Responsibilities - You will produce insight and analysis of the region looking deeper into social, economic and political issues and developments that may impact oil and gas market trends. - You will look further into energy policy, regulation and other general local issues that may impact on the oil and gas industry within the region. - Working with research teams you will produce long term oil and gas supply and demand outlooks for various countries within the region. - You will build and strengthen relationships within the oil and gas industry and become a well respected industry expert. You Will Need To Have - At least a Masters Degree in Economics, Political Science, African Studies or any other energy related subject. - At least 2 years experience of producing geopolitical analysis within the energy / natural resources industry or similar. - Knowledge of African Energy Market Fundamentals would be desirable. - Strong communication skills. - Fluency in African Spoken Languages would be advantageous.
