EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Job

Yoh has a one (1) year contract opportunity for a PER DIEM/PART TIME EMT (EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN) to join our client in Alexandria, LA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess injuries and illnesses, and administer first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons to the extent of their training and scope of practice.
- Issue and track training on personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete and maintain required documentation accurately, and on time, for injuries and associated workers' compensation claims, as well as other required medical services.
- Utilize appropriate universal precautions for blood borne pathogen protection.
- Accurately log medical services activity and maintain employee health records in the first aid department.
- Assist in maintaining medical facility and equipment in an orderly and hygienic condition at all times.

Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- First-Aid/CPR/AED qualified/certified.
- Certification Medical Assistant or Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician.
- Educated in universal precautions for blood borne pathogen protection.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong verbal communication skills and experience
- Ability to follow process map and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends when required.
- Ability to file and retrieve paperwork.
