Employment Law Specialist, TUPE, Public Sector, Employment Tribunals

Spring Technology are looking for a Legal Employment Advisor for our public sector client based in Liverpool.

Assignment:
* Provide legal assurance in relation to its harmonisation and restructuring programmes.
* Provide employment law legal advice to the business as required.
* Provide employment litigation services to the business as required.

Key tasks:
* Acting under the line management of the Head of Legal Services who is based in Darlington
* To provide employment law advice.
* To understand the business and how it fits within the wider external political structure.
* To proactively engage with the business to understand its forward plans and identify the need for and provide employment law advice and support within those plans.
* Policy interpretation and implementation in specific circumstances
* Personnel handling matters
* Conduct of Litigation
* To provide legal assurance to the harmonisation agenda and restructuring.

Essential Skills:
* Significant experience advising public bodies on all employment law matters including advice relating to policies and personnel issues.
* Knowledge of restrictions placed upon NDPBS from an employment perspective and generally.
* Experience of employment litigation
* Experience of advising on TU relations.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience of acting for public bodies in respect of TU matters
Advocacy experience in Employment Tribunals
