Employment Consultant

Utilising excellent communications skills and a real passion for helping people, our Employment Consultants deliver a first class service aiding the long-term unemployed to achieve meaningful, sustained employment. This is an exciting role with large challenges and even larger rewards as you handle a busy portfolio of customers, engaging each person as an individual, assessing their needs and tailoring a service so as to empower them to attain employment. If you are target driven, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference then we want to hear from you.

Key Accountabilities
Assisting clients with advice and guidance, helping them on their journey to employment..
Providing a tailored service, addressing individual needs so as to overcome barriers to employment, education and skill development..
Carrying a caseload of customers, meeting with clients regularly to review their progress, organise work experience.
Sign-posting to 3rd party provision, ensuring all associated paperwork is completed..
Training and mentoring customers throughout their journey, on both a one-to one and group basis (Inc. job search techniques, CV writing, interview skills)..
Utilising your own strengths and skills to motivate and train your clients in areas such as IT, numeracy and literacy..
Working to individual and group targets.

Skills and Experience
Positive, enthusiastic approach to problem solving with a "can do" attitude..
A track record of consistently achieving targets..
Exceptional organisational skills..
Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes..
Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
Confident and professional approach..
Excellent all round IT skills..
Ability to put people at ease and good listening skills..
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to the personal and occupational success of the long term unemployed..
Build customer's self-confidence and motivation helping them achieve their aspirations and put them firmly on the road to lasting employment..
Minimum of 4 GCSE's or equivalent including English and Mathematics
Ideally you will have gained previous experience in sales, recruitment or customer facing role; be able to deliver a high level of customer service and have an excellent understanding of KPIs.

Additional Information
This is a contract role to cover Maternity Leave.
