EMPLOYER RELATIONSHIP ANALYST

TEMPORARY CONTRACT

PAY RATE - £8.10 P/H

FULL TIME - 35 HOURS PER WEEK

BASED IN CHELMSFORD COUNTY HALL

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Essex County Council, who are going through a period of significant transformation for temporary cover to assist with the main duties of the Employer Relationship Team. Reporting to the Employer Relationship Manager and liaising with Finance and HR Staff within both the County Council and employing organisations within the Pension Fund. The role requires working as part of a team dealing with over 380 employing bodies, assisting with pension contributions to the Fund and the administration of data held.

MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

To process, monitor, record and reconcile the income received from all bodies within the Essex Pension Fund.
To assist in the closure of the accounts of the Essex Pension Fund.
To participate in the dialogue with employing organisations
To assist in the maintenance and updating of the Council's financial information systems in relation to Pension Fund Contributions.
To participate in the contributions accounting function throughout the year and at closure.
To assist in the production of data for Actuarial Valuations, interim reviews and FRS 17 disclosures.
To assist in the monitoring of contributions to the Pension Fund and the production of M99 reconciliations.
To reconcile and collate invoices for payment received for the Fund.
To assist with the preparation and distribution of the employer newsletters.
To assist with the completion of the annual scheme return to The Pensions Regulator.
To run AXISe reports for prospective new admissions, bond reviews, terminations and new Academies.
To show awareness of current issues affecting the Pension Fund and the Council.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED TO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English
Previous office experience in a financial environment is desirable
Working as a team member
Ability to communicate effectively and accurately both in writing and orally with staff and managers at all levels
Organisational skills to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
Good IT skills
Numerate
Accurate
Flexible
Adaptable
Quick to learn new areas of work
