EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST/ER SPECIALIST/HR

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced ER Specialist to join a leading mobile operator. They are looking for someone to provide expert advice and support to business managers on people ER issues and business driven ER activities. The role will have a strong influence on the business while working closely with experienced ER Managers. In addition, you will also be expected to share insights across the People (HR) team on relevant people related policies and guidelines.

The position is being offered on a contract basis with a competitive daily rate and will be located in the company's Berkshire office.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide timely advice and support to line managers on medium-high risk/complexity people ER issues regarding the company's procedures such as: Medium to long term Absence, Performance Management, Disciplinary, Grievance, appeals, whistleblowing claims, Employment Tribunals and small claims.
- Support the business in organisational changes that may result in individual or collective consultation and/or redundancy
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all actions and documentation relating to cases being managed through to conclusion.
- Manage complex and/or long term sickness cases up to and including capability dismissals and act as key stakeholder with our Occupational Health supplier
- Identify trends in cases for the Head of so that insight is provided to managers, relevant training for line managers is provided and policy recommendations are made.
- Coach line managers, facilitate ER workshops and develop/deliver ER training in order to develop ER capability within the organisation.
- Work proactively with HR Shared Services, Specialist Teams and HRBP's to agree on process improvements.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects as required.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Proven experience within an ER specialist role and/or a HR operational experience in a fast paced environment with proven employee relations experience.
- Experience of supporting businesses through organisational changes, such as large scale TUPE or transformation projects. Carrying out group and individual consultations.
- Experience of managing medium-high risk ER cases to conclusion.
- Good understanding and application of employment legislation.
- Strong communication, along with being comfortable in coaching, advising and influencing managers dealing with ER issues.
- Holding a CIPD qualification would be ideal.
- Ideally some experience of working in fast paced technology, retail or IT related industries.
