Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Job

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN needed for a PART TIME CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Top Skills Should You Possess:

- First aid treatment
- Data Entry

What You'll Be Doing:

- Assess injuries and illnesses, and administer first aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured persons to the extent of their training and scope of practice.
- Issue and track training on personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete and maintain required documentation accurately, and on time, for injuries and associated workers' compensation claims, as well as other required medical services.
- Utilize appropriate universal precautions for bloodborne pathogen protection
- Accurately log medical services activity and maintain employee health records in the first aid department.
- Assist in maintaining medical facility and equipment in an orderly and hygienic condition at all times.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Educated in universal precautions for bloodborne pathogen protection.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
- Strong verbal communication skills and experience
- Ability to follow process map and procedures.
- Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends when required.
- Ability to file and retrieve paperwork.

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications:

- CPR Certified
- Certification Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician
