EMC Engineer

EMC Engineer required to be responsible for identifying differences between current project design and environmental requirements, and generating appropriate limitations on the operation of the aircraft.
Working with the Design Authority to agree proving philosophy for on-aircraft HME/TME trials.

Deliverables:
Summary of Existing project EMC & HERO Clearance.
Comparison of Existing project EMC & HERO Clearance with Requirements.
Agreement of EMC & HERO Proving Philosophy with Aircraft Design Authority.
Responsible for providing general EMC Systems Design support to the Weapon System design and integration onto the platform, and for producing EMC Test Plans for Weapon System subsystems.

Deliverables:
EMC Test Plan for PDLT Below Decks Equipment.
EMC Test Plan for LMS.

Other activities without specific deliverables:
Support production of EMC Test Plan for C2/SCE.
Provision of general EMC Systems Design support to PDLT, C2/SCE and LMS subsystems.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
EMC support to integration of weapon systems onto air and naval platforms.
Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance - analysis and test methods.
EMC Systems Engineering and Design Support, gained in an aerospace or defence environment.
Writing EMC Test Plans to DEF STAN 59-411 or MIL STD 461 requirements.
Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting process.
