THE ROLE

For our clients Automotive Systems Innovations department we are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to support innovative development projects in the areas of autonomous driving and seamless connectivity. Majority of activities are in the area of sensor fusion (camera/radar/V2X/LTE).

- Use, modify and implement new use cases and combinations of existing ones by writing software on the mentioned platforms

THE INDIVIDUAL

- For Embedded software development:
- General Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) knowledge including Scripting (bash), Linux configuration/setup scripts and building applications.
- Linux coding tools: gcc/gdb/cmake/valgrind (drd, memcheck)
- Networking knowledge using TCP/IP, IPv6, Wireshark and setting up (local-) networks. CAN-bus experience nice to have.
- Python knowledge (less necessary as we are converting our code to C++, but it never hurts to have somebody with a wide diversity of skills. Other Scripting languages like ruby, Perl, etc are also fine, then it is easy to learn python!)
- Software architecture knowledge, capable of understanding and modifying existing frameworks.
- Set-up regression test to improve quality and stability of the software code and framework.
