Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer - C/C++, embedded linux, STB/DTV - Hertfordshire I have a brand new opportunity for an Embedded Software to join a leading global organisation in the STB/ DTV sector. Joining a growing team of Embedded Software Engineers, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, test of new embedded software. Daily responsibilities will include writing code in C/C++, defining test systems and applications and your role will include a good mix of new and existing product development. Skills: * degree educated in electronics or equivalent * commercial experience of hands on embedded software development * programming in C and C++ * embedded linux (device driver level) * communication protocols * good problem solving skills If you have previous experience of STB development or working in video/ audio/ DTV, this would be desirable. Any experience of porting linux to new platforms would also be ideal. We are open to looking at mid to senior level engineers and your salary/package will be dependent upon your level of experience ranging from £35,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits.
