Embedded Software Engineer - Permanent - Oxfordshire

A brand new opportunity has arisen for a highly talented Embedded Software Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team of engineers to work on the design and development of innovative image processing solutions for a leading company based in Oxfordshire.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will have proven experience of embedded real time systems and be a strong problem solver and analyser. This will suit an individual who enjoy getting their teeth into technically challenging projects, working in a fast paced, small business environment. In addition to detailed design, ability to manage the full product development lifecycle would be advantageous.

* Degree educated in electronics, computer science or relevant discipline (MSc or PhD welcome)
* Proven commercial experience of embedded software and hardware development
* Programming in C/ C++
* Linux, Android, RTOS operating system experience
* Microcontroller experience such as ARM
* Hardware design including FPGA
* Experience of working in one of the following environments GCC, QT, CVS, Eclipse, Mantis
* Background in video, audio, image processing, communications, networking, IP, mobile phone (beneficial)
* Knowledge of MPEG, JPEG, H.264 technologies (highly advantageous)

Salary is dependent upon level of experience £40,000 - £60,000, share options and a generous bonus is on offer for the right person.
