Embedded Software Engineer

My client is a Market leader in Microwave and Laser navigation systems has requirement for an Embedded C Software Engineer based in Leicestershire.

As part of a highly motivated, multidisciplinary and dynamic team you will be crucial to helping bring the next generation of new products through to successful product launch.

Prospective applicants will be able work autonomously to help define the architecture of new products. You will be responsible for software specification and design of these products, you will be capable of writing clear functional test specifications for your work. It is essential that you are able to write high quality robust code in a clear structured manner which can be readily tested and maintained.

Applicants will have demonstrable experience Embedded software design and integration ideally in the field of electro-mechanical motorized products or similar.

Applicants must have strong knowledge of:

C++ for embedded applications

Experience in the following is desirable:

Embedded PC software development
DSP programming
FPGA programming, preferably in VHDL
Algorithm development
Matlab / Simulink
Sensor systems
Microcontrollers
Multi-threading, comms, etc
