Embedded Software Architect

MUST HAVE SKILLS FOR THIS VACANCY

- 5+ years of experience from Linux based Embedded SW and Real Time software development for video CPE devices including both design and development
- Experience with Embedded SW architecture and design
- Experience with design of Linux Embedded SW security implementations as well as certifications (ex. Nagra, Verimatrix)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Defining high and low level SW design including API definition and communicating this to SW development teams
- Responsibility for security design of the SW implementation as well as applicable certifications
- Leading or taking part of integration activities for new features and SW components as well as reviewing SW implementation to confirm it aligns with approved designs
- Liaising with internal stakeholders including product owners, e2e architects and component owners to capture functional & non-functional requirements and contribute to end-to-end design
- Running Proof of Concepts for new features and technologies
- Reviewing and approving technical architecture and design from external vendors
- Keeping track of industry trends and development and communicate this to peers and superiors

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- Master degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge obtained thru education and work experience
- 5+ years of experience from Linux based Embedded SW and Real Time software development for video CPE devices including both design and development
- Experience with Embedded SW architecture and design
- Experience with design of Linux Embedded SW security implementations as well as certifications (ex. Nagra, Verimatrix)
- Good understanding of video CPE hardware, streaming video services, content protection (DRM/CA) and network architecture and design
- Experience from working with requirements and specifications in a structured way (experience with Jira is an advantage)
- Experience with technical project management or from leading a distributed team in a SW development organization
