Embedded Software Architect

I am currently seeking an experienced EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ARCHITECT, specifically with experience of working on ESA projects to work with a client of mine based in Belgium.

Some key information regarding the position is as follows:

RATE: Circa €65 per hour

START DATE: February 2018

DURATION: 2-6 months

LOCATION: Belgium

Tasks:

- Responsible for the software development within the framework of an space instrument
- Responsible for the technical coherence
- Determination of the project approach (focus on re-use) and software life cycle
- Translation of the customer requirements into software requirements
- Determination of the FDIR approach
- Conceptual SW design implementation
- Validation of conceptual SW design on representative hardware

Skills and competences:

- Experience of working in ESA projects is a must
- Experience with defining Embedded software architectures and writing software requirements/specifications
- Experience with safety critical applications is mandatory
- Experience with Embedded computer platforms is a must (UEIPAC knowledge is an asset)
- Experience with Experimental Drawer Rack is an asset
- Knowledge of ECSS or ISO 12207 software processes and methods is an advantage
