THE POSITION:

An Electronics business in Exeter require an Embedded Software Engineer with expert Linux Kernel / Device Driver experience for an initial 3 month contract period.

Your role will be to extend the function ability of there current product to allow various USB devices to be inserted into the product, which will then transfer information over a secure IP link to a main server.
To do this role you should have strong experience with Embedded Linux, working at Device Driver / Kernel level. You should be proficient in programming in Embedded C and should ideally have USB port experience.
As well as Embedded knowledge, PC application experience is desirable.

You can either complete this project work on site with the client or remotely.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Embedded C
Linux Kernel / Device Driver experience
USB port experience
Strong Communication protocol experience
