Embedded Firmware Engineer

Embedded Firmware Engineer - Permanent - Portsmouth

Due to increasing work, I am looking to recruit an Embedded Firmware Engineer to work in a hands-on capacity on a variety of microprocessor based embedded software projects. As such embedded software and hardware interface experience is critical. Previous commercial experience (~5 years) in a similar role where you have been involved in the full product development lifecycle is also important.

Typically you will also be working with the sales team who will issue customisation requests and work alongside 2 other embedded firmware engineers on new product development; but be part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers.

Requirements:

- degree educated or equivalent in electronics, computer science or similar
- embedded programming in C
- RTOS
- Embedded microprocessors preferably ARM
- Communication protocols (RS232, USB, I2C, etc)

If you have previous experience of designing hand held devices or if you come from a metrology background, this would be advantageous.
