Embedded Developer

My client based in the North Wales is looking for an Embedded software developer for an intial 12 month contract:

Role:

Design, develop and deliver embedded solutions for new products for use in Telecom applications. The work involves close co-operation with the hardware engineering Team to quickly deliver small footprint controller code for use in distributed processing environments.

Key tasks of the job:

Typical work activities include:
* Interpreting the project-specific software needs and developing quick concept demonstrators which lead to final design solutions.
* Working as part of a closely coupled, coherent development team to fulfil the project needs.
* Presenting ideas and concepts for embedded designs to the development team.
* Flexible working style to support the development team.
* Documentation to a good commercial standard.

Experience required:

The essential skills/attributes are: -
1 Strong experience, over at least 5 years, of working with a small, highly skilled design teams, working on exceptionally tight cost, time and performance targets.
2 Solid multi-project experience in the design of embedded code for embedded microcontrollers such as PIC, AVR and the smaller ARM M0, M3 CORTEX processors in distributed environments.
3 Strong multi-project experience with C.
4 Strong electronic hardware engineering experience.

Desirable skills: additional ideal experiences should include :-
1 Awareness of the Greenhills INTEGRITY and MULTI,
2 Some working knowledge of configuration management systems,
3 Experience of working in Agile development environments,

Experience with a range of In Circuit Emulators and Debuggers.
