Embedded Software Engineer, Embedded C++, C++ for ARM Cortex M3 Processors, control algorithms

To develop control algorithms using embedded C++ for ARM Cortex M3 over an in house framework

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Design and implementation of electromechanical control algorithms using C++
-Design and implementation of automated tests
-Proof of concept engineering
-Engineering verification / testing of product electronics and software
-Development of new functionality at system and software level
-Creating and updating documentation and specifications
-Create, flag and document intellectual property (e.g. to support patent applications)
-Creating project plans around their activities

PERSON SPECIFICATION
-Educated to degree level or equivalent OR must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar design and development environment
-Strong embedded C++/C programming experience for electro-mechanical products
-Experience with ARM Cotex M3 family processors
-Experience using Keil uVision, RTX and Ulink debugging
-Experience with CAN bus, preferably CANopen
-Experience with stepper motor control
-Experience with Enterprise Architect and / or UML modelling would be beneficial
-A good understanding of objected oriented software design
-Strong analytical skills
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and numeric skills.
-Excellent IT skills including strong MS Office.
-Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
-Problem solver. Self-starter and team player.
-Ability to develop and maintain relevant product knowledge.
