Embedded C Software Engineer

Embedded Software Developer needed for a long term position at a major networking hardware, firmware, software, services company having a product engineering facility in Durham, NC. Initial contract is for 6 months with extension or possible conversion to permanent anticipated. Must be a highly motivated self-starter; able to use your own initiative, drive decisions and create direction.

REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:

- C Embedded development
- An interest in learning/specializing in low level, driver, and protocol level Switching, Routing and Networking software (Layer 2 and Layer 3)
- Bachelors degree in an engineering related field

Prior experience with similar companies such as Cisco or IBM would be very helpful. - Requires a bachelors degree in an engineering related field or equivalent experience.
