For a longer term project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
EMAIL SYSTEM ENGINEER - LINUX/SENDMAIL (4419)
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience as EMAIL SYSTEM ENGINEER
- ADVANCED LINUX, SENDMAIL skills
- Intermediate network (DNS, Firewall) and OPENLDAP skills
- Script development using Shell script knowledge
- Proven experience in corporate email infrastructure
- Experience with project work and with cross-cultural collaboration
- Familiarity with Proofpoint Sentrion and Splunk Enterprise products would be an asset
- Java programming experience would be a plus
- FLUENCY IN ENGLISH, German would be a plus
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Creating, executing and documenting test cases, analysing mail logs
- Determining migration strategies
- Writing scripts to facilitate migration
- Preparing software and configuration changes
- Consulting mail operations and application owners
Business-as-usual engineering includes:
- Software patching
- Email policy configuration changes
- Routing changes
- Small requests for enhancement
