Electronics Test Technician/Test Engineer - Contract - 6months +

Location: Close to Portsmouth

Duration: Initially 6months with possible extensions beyond

Rates: Negotiable per hour

Start date: Idially within 2 weeks - we can wait longer for the perfect candidate

My exclusive client, an innovative market leading electronics company are looking to secure the services of an Electronics Test Technician/Electronics Test Engineer to join their busy, expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an established team who have exciting growth plans and aspirations for 2015.

We are looking for an Electronics Test Technician/Test Engineer who would ideally suit the below profile.
Job Purpose:
To test and fault find all units made by Production or returned by customers, to specification set by members of the team.

Key Skills:
* Tests units from production to ensure they meet specification.
* Fault finds units that have failed to component level.
* Maintains records for tracking units tested.
* Assists Production staff to help repair units which have failed test.
* Sends units to QA.
* Arranges for outside testing as required.
* Progress chases units through Production to meet required delivery dates.
* Liaises with design of product and test specification changes.
* Gives technical support to junior team members.
* Ensures test equipment is within calibration.
