Electronics Test Engineer

TEST SYSTEMS EXPERT NEEDED FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY. In accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles, this candidate will develop Functional Test equipment hardware, software, and documentation for use in the testing of manufactured products. Individual will receive assignments from department manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Create detailed schematics using AutoCAD Electrical for production test equipment.
- Procure parts using SAP for production test equipment.
- Write test procedures and specifications for production test equipment.
- Understand PLC software for controlling production test equipment.
- Confer with others involved to obtain objectives and desired results.
- Build and wire test systems per schematics.
- Perform integration of test hardware and test software with product under test.
- Provide training and on-going support of the test equipment and methods.
- Support all Quality polices and all TQCS procedures.
- Proficiency in communication of technical and business ideas through engineering drawings and written and spoken English.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in electronics or electrical engineering

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in test system design for solid state products
- Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD Electrical for panel layout/schematics
- Demonstrated ability in development and troubleshooting of automated test systems
- Familiarity with RSLogix 5000, Programmable Logic Controllers, AC/DC Drive Experience and AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and the Windows environment as well as proficiency in typing
