Electronics Technician

Client located Northeast outside the perimeter of Atlanta has a contract, possible temp to hire opening for an Electronics Technician to test, repair and modify equipment including electronic components, part assemblies and other related equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Troubleshoot and repair non-functional customer and demo products to the sub-assembly and component level
- Test faulty equipment and apply technical knowledge to diagnose the cause of system malfunctions
- Use appropriate tools and test procedures to resolve equipment problems
- Record and report failure data and ensure accurate and timely documentation of repair activities
- Provide consultation and technical assistance with customers via telephone or email
- Make field service calls as required
- Supervise, train and lead repair technicians as needed

REQUIREMENTS

- Associates degree from accredited technical school or military equivalent preferred
- Approximately five or more years experience as an electronic technician in related field
- Working knowledge and proven troubleshooting skills of complex processor designs at both component and system levels
- Knowledge of electronics, software, networks, digital or analogue circuitry
- Frequent interfacing with internal/external quality inspectors, engineering, planning and will require excellent verbal skills
