THE ROLE:
An Electronics company in Loughborough who are well known for the design and manufacturing of instrumentation products have a requirement for an Electronics Engineer to join the Manufacturing Engineering team to carry out root cause analysis to component level on a variety of there product ranges.

Your role in this small, tight knit team will be the Electronics expert who will carry out root cause analysis and establish mechanism of failure to component level of the product from an Electronic perspective, with experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Additionally, some mechanical knowledge and experience will be an advantage.

In order to do this role you will be required to go onto the shop floor to understand how the product is manufactured and put together, as well putting the product on the bench and drilling down to component level to see what is causing the product to default. In order to do this you should be familiar with Electronic test equipment, as well as Analogue and Digital circuitry.
This role is for an

Electronics Engineer who enjoys being an investigator and improver, and someone who would enjoy working the product lifecycle back to front (i.e. working back from manufacturing to design to establish at what point the product failed in the process and identifying what caused it, and thereby suggesting what changes need to be made)
You should be a results driven Electronics Engineer, with your end goal being to reduce the percentage of default products, with continuous improvement.

This role is commutable from Loughborough, Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Root Cause Analysis experience of Electronic products
Electronic skills (Analogue and Digital circuitry)
Fault finding to component level
Test Equipment experience
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of applying six sigma improvement tools
Competent user of MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
