Electronics Medical Device Technical Expert wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 8+ years working experience in electronic device development with main focus on medical devices for parenteral administration
- Background in generating DHF documentation, including design input requirements, design verification, technical specification, design validation and transfer
- Excellent technical writing skills, such as Design Controls
- Familiarity with medical device regulations, like FDA 21CFR 820 and EU Medical Device Directive as well as with combination products (US) and standards
- Know-how of Human Factors Engineering and Risk Management
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
YOUR TASKS:
- Conducting technical development operations for electronic components of medical devices used in combination products, such as auto-injectors and pumps
- Specifying requirements (DIR) of electronic components and determining component strategy for future component platforms
- Verifying power management with an emphasis on ultra-low current and battery optimisation for extended shelf-life of products
- Planning, executing and reporting on design verification and robustness testing including storage, transport, in-use over defined life-time and misuse cases
- Generating Design Controls documentation and contributing to a high-quality Design History File (DHF) for parenteral delivery injection systems
