Electronics Instrument Technician II

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ELECTRONICS INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN II to join our client in Allentown, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

- The duration of this temporary position is approximately 24 months.
- Pay Range: Up to $27.33 per hour.
- Overtime with pre-approval of manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The IET Instrument Calibration Team provides instrument rental, calibration and repair services for Company's Global Operations and R&D organizations.
- Instruments supported include analyzers (CO, O2, Moisture, Flammable gas, CO2) boroscopes, pressure transmitters, data transmitters, data loggers, flow meters and relief valves.
- The working team lead will provide instrument calibration/repair services and coordinate the activities of three other instrument calibration/repair technicians.
- Daily coordination/prioritization of overall shop work load.
- Overall responsibility for administration of the IET Instrument Rental, Global Operations Moisture probe calibration, Relief valve calibration, Mass flow meter calibration, and Pressure Calibration services.
- Ensure Safe application of Instrumentation through System Design, Equipment Hazards Reviews, safety training, and development of Safe Work Practices.
- Support & leadership of Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance on instrument application.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electronic and mechanical instruments.
- Evaluations of new instruments and execution of equipment/system tests.
- Complete instrument calibrations and preparation of calibration reports.
- Documentation of shop procedures and work practices.
- Development of Expense Authorization Requests for new equipment.
- Travel to plant sites or offsite labs to provide instrument installation/repair support.
- Ensure Maintenance/Calibration of shop NIST traceable calibration standards.
- Support ISO compliance of Global Operations plants
- Development/Administration of Team Equipment/Tool budget.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent Military instrument training with three to five (3-5) years of experience in instrument calibration.
- Knowledge of NIST Traceable Calibration practices, gas analyzers, pressure instruments, electronic instrumentation, flow meters and recorders.
- Strong MS Office and Database skills required.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Experience with Continuous Improvement tools is plus.
