Electronics Engineer - Hardware Development Engineer - CONTRACT

Key: Design for Manufacture DFM, Good understanding/experience of PCB's, Good appreciation of Electronics Design/PCB Design, BOM, Electronics Manufacturing, Support, Supplier/Subcontractor liaison.

Rate: Negotiable per hour

My exclusive market leading Engineering client urgently requires the services of Electronics Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer/Hardware Development Engineer to add value to a new project.

The basis of the role is to work with the electronics engineers, SQA and procurement teams on site and also to engage with a contract PCB manufacturer to ensure that a PCB/set of PCBs are managed through the production process at an external PCB design and manufacturing sub-contractor. This could involve analysis of the design with the Contract PCB manufacturer and the onsite electronic engineers to assess suitability of the board design as it stands for design for manufacture, design for test, documentation of test and manufacturing specifications, faults and changes to design. The creation and maintenance of this documentation to a high standard is as important as the candidates technical capability, you must be familiar with BOM control and be disciplined to complete documentation with rigourous attention to version control methodology and practice.

We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Engineer/Hardware Engineer who has a good understanding and knowledge of electronics design, electronics Manufacturing/Production, Electronics, PCB's, PCB Manufacturers, Industrialisation, working with suppliers, BOM, component selection/specification, testing.
