Electronics Design Engineer - Oxfordshire - 6 Month + Contract

A key client of mine, based in Oxfordshire, is looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join them for an initial 6 month contract - there is considerable scope for this contract to continue long term.

You will be working to design and develop electronic hardware and software for a range of products.

A thorough understanding of up and coming developments in the field of electronics would be vital - specifically any understanding of automotive technology would be highly advantageous.

The candidate will:

Have an automotive background, or recent automotive experience.

Have a degree in electronics engineering or similar.

Be able to supervise a team of technicians.

Be able to specify and select appropriate electronic components.

Be able to prepare and undertake PCB layouts - using OrCAD or Altium would be ideal.

Able to undertake testing and validation of electronic components.

Have excellent knowledge and understanding of robust engineering practices such as FMEAs, Change Management, Design Reviews, etc.

It would also be highly advantageous to have the following:

Experience of Embedded software development.

Experience of automotive communication protocols (CAN, etc.)
