Electronic Tester

Our client is a leading industrial automation company seeking an Electronic Tester capable of working from schematics, connections diagrams, wire diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and engineering change orders to final test products. This candidate will ensure that systems conform to production and quality standards. THIS POSITION WILL WORK AN EARLY SHIFT, 6AM TO 2PM.

JOB FUNCTIONS

- Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Documents test results.
- Troubleshoots systems to determine causes of malfunctions.
- Analyzes malfunctions and perform repairs, adjustments or alterations as required, or refers to manufacturing personnel when appropriate.
- Advises and confers with Engineering, Test Design, and Quality Assurance personnel to correct component failure, design error problems, and software testing.
- Repairs and tests rejected or customer returned items as required.
- Maintains records relative to test function per quality procedures.
- Responsible for initiating appropriate quality action when product is deemed non-conforming.
- Responsible for implementation and compliance with team decisions.
- Assists, and is responsive to the needs of teams and team members as well as other individuals, in the pursuit of the company's goals.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Associate's Degree in electronics or equivalent
- One year of related experience in electrical and electronic testing equipment and procedures
- Ability to interpret schematics and other documents
- Ability to use basic and highly automated electrical test equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects with or without accommodation
- Ability to operate moving and lift equipment and climb tall ladders
- Must be available for 6am to 2pm shift
