Electronic Instrument Technician

INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN POSITION

Global chemical company with headquarters in Wickliffe, Ohio is seeking an Electronics Instrument Technician working with calibration and test equipment in one of their chemical labs. The position is on a long-term contract (1-1.5 years) with the option to be hired by our client. First shift 7-3:30p, overtime available.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Associate Degree in Electronic Technology (or related field) or Journeyman in Electronic Instrumentation or Journeyman Electrician with instrumentation / controls experience preferred
- Industrial instrumentation background and experience
- Read and interpret interconnection diagrams, process and instrumentation flow sheets, loop sheets and schematics
- Experienced in and able to do wiring and panel construction
- Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate electronic equipment and controls, pneumatic equipment and controls, advanced analytical and laboratory equipment
- Familiar with computers, software, computerized control systems and interfacing instrument control systems
- Physically able to work in high areas and on ladders, work in confined spaces, work in outdoor weather conditions, able to work in high noise areas with proper PPE, able to read small print, able to see all colors and have good manual dexterity and coordination, lift 50 lbs and meet other physical requirements as specified in job description
- Use instrumentation test equipment along with hand and power tools

JOB DUTIES:

- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify and install / construct instrumentation equipment and controls
- Installation, repair and calibration of a variety of transmitters and instruments (pressure, temperature, flow and level) used in process manufacturing and laboratory areas
- Installation, repair and calibration of control valves, actuators and pneumatic or electric positioners
- Provide technical input to customers regarding design, installation, repair and safe operation of equipment and systems

CONSIDERED A PLUS:

- Instrumentation and controls design experience
- Experience in the chemical process industry
- Instrumentation metrology and calibration experience
- Experience with ISO 17025
- Microsoft: Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint
