Electronic Engineer

World renowned consumer products company is seeking a well rounded Electronics Engineer for a 6+ month contract position based in midtown Atlanta, GA. Candidate will serve as a key memeber of the product development engineering team to support the continuous improvement and commercialization of innovative beverage dispensing equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for hands-on system and subsystem development from conception to commercialization
- Assist the engineering team in continuous design improvement, application improvement and manufacturing support for a product consisting of a distributed electronic system containing high-level software and low-level embedded-firmware.
- Designing and developing electrical/electronic boards and assemblies, including single board computers, embedded control boards and other daughter/side boards that perform motor, pump, valve and sensor controls
- Unassisted design, development and sustaining of Embedded Control based hardware/firmware and other facilitating analog and digital electronic circuitry

REQUIREMENTS

- BSEE required, MSEE preferred
- 8-10 yrs of High Speed (Logic and Bus Design) & embedded controls
- 5 + yrs of working with firmware using embedded C and assembly
- 4+ yrs of CAN (or similar distributed control bus) experience in a distributed multiprocessing environment preferred
- 4 + yrs of providing design engineering support to sustain an installed base of product, including bug fixes, planned maintenance upgrades and End of Life considerations. International experience in this area is a plus.
