Electronic Design Engineer

Electronic Design Engineer - Antwerp - 6 months

My client an international company based in Antwerp is looking for an Electronic Design Engineer for a 6 month contract.

Responsibilities for the role:

- Ability to draft an electronic schematic starting from PCB requirements and an early conceptual design
- Ability to perform component selection (based on a QinetiQ Space Preferred Parts List - QS PPL)
- Ability to perform electrical simulations
- Ability to perform the following analysis:

o Derating analysis
o Worst-Case analysis
o Parts Stress analysis
o Timing analysis
o Failure Mode Effect analysis
o EMC/ESD analysis
o Thermal analysis (providing inputs to thermal engineer)
o Radiation analysis (optional)
- Ability to integrate a FPGA design (mapping of schematic signal names onto VHDL signal names - CADSTAR2UCF file)
- Ability to define the layout rules for the design
- Ability to review the layout of the design (based on QS checklist)
- Ability to prepare manufacturing files for the PCB

Tools for this role:

- CADSTAR 15 (Electronic schematics and PCB layouts)
- Board Modeler Lite (PCB 3D fit-check with mechanics)
- Pspice (analyses simulation)
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
