Electronic Design Engineer

My client designs products within the unmanned Avionic systems sector. They provide effective solutions in rapid timescales in support of military and civil markets worldwide.

Their track record in innovative research and flight test 'firsts' has won them several awards and a prime position in the domain of UAV development in the UK and Europe.

Specialising in autonomy, unmanned systems and flight management and control software, they have a wide portfolio of products developed by their pioneering team and offer an end-to-end Managed Service for UAVs of different classes (2Kg to 50tonnes) and types (fixed wing, rotary wing, morphing wing, lighter-than-air).

As part of plans to expand throughout 2015, they currently seek a versatile electronic design engineer with experience in designing FPGA's to work on all aspects of the product development process, from understanding customer requirements right through to project delivery.

Within this team you will undertake a multifaceted role, encompassing digital/RTL Design, FPGA, hardware, through to PCB and Software development. The work is hugely varied and interesting.

Requirements:

* A number of years' prior experience in digital ASIC/FPGA Design, with in-depth expertise in RTL coding (VHDL/Verilog)

* An ability and willingness to pick up new skills and tasks easily

* Excellent communication and team-work skills

* A background in Avionics/Aerospace would be a massive bonus
