Electro-Mechanical Fabriciation Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a FABRICATION TECHNICIAN to join our global manufacturing company in North Kingstown, RI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read prints (electrical/mechanical).
- Compile simple packages to be shipped with generators
- Wire panels to print.
- Diagnose wiring errors and determine sensor to PLC wiring requirements.
- Use power tools, accurately measure components, plan and construct assemblies, perform measurement unit conversions and build something from a drawing.
- Debug wired systems to find and correct errors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

- Candidate should have a two (2) year degree in electrical engineering technology and have some experience (internship of at least 6 months) preferably working in an electro/mechanical equipment assembly production role.
- Ability to work in a changing environment with multiple priorities.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Ability to create Excel/Word documents.
- Familiar with AutoCad/Inventor software in order to make minor modifications to existing design drawings.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate/set-up/maintain small desktop engraving machine
- Understanding of CNC Programs such as Cut2D
- Basic understanding of machining processes related to engraving
- Work safely at all times.
- Ability to read prints (electrical/mechanical).
- Ability to wire panels to print.
- General electrical understanding to enable individual to diagnose wiring errors and determine sensor to PLC wiring requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to use power tools, accurately measure components, plan and construct assemblies, perform measurement unit conversions and build something from a drawing.
- Ability and willingness to debug wired systems to find and correct errors.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written/oral).
