Electro-Mechanical Engineer Job

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Schenectady, NY.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- As an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved in designing renewable, marine, oil and gas, electric propulsion and energy storage power electronics systems interfacing with company businesses and external customers such as US government agencies.
- You will work in a team to conduct mechanical and electro-mechanical design activities in low voltage, medium voltage, high voltage high power electronics for applications such as wind and solar power conversion, electric drives for oil and gas, ship power and propulsion, energy storage, and DC-based power transmission and distribution
- Perform engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, development, test, installation and service, while working from instructions, models, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information
- Gain exposure to cross-functional and global teams and consult to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
- Plan, conduct and coordinate engineering analyses and tests, and prepare related detailed technical reports.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of post degree experience in product design.
- Demonstrated experience in engineering design using Pro-e Creo 2.0 software, particularly for packaging of high power electronic systems.
