Electrical Test Technician

Electrical Test Technician - LV and HV test - Permanent - South Coast A new opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Technician to join a leading company supplying into the automotive sector in Hampshire, along the South Coast. This is a permanent vacancy and you will be responsible for both low and high voltage testing of their current production electronics.

* HNC or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* Experience and understanding of working with high voltage (3 Phase 415V ac/ 900V dc)
* Understanding of control systems associated with data acquisition and control of test systems
* Proficient with use of standard bench test equipment (e.g oscillscopes, DMM, signal analysers)
* Ability to read electrical/ electronic schematics
* Experience of production test processes and working in a test environment
* Strong communication skills
The successful candidate will have knowledge of single and 3 phase distribution systems as described in IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition and also up to 900V dc. Demonstrable knowledge of the hazards associated with live testing of converters/ inverters connected to single, 3-phase and dc supplies as described above is also key. Salary will depend upon level of experience.
