My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit an Electrical Systems Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering division on a long-term contract basis.

Position Description:
System Engineer needed to support the test and development of the New Lowline infotainment system responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
HW/SW interface definition and validation for the low line system.
System level support for vehicle feature integration ie climate systems or camera systems.
Working with supplier to find technical solutions to integration problems.
Creating and leading virtual teams when necessary to solve key technical issues or implementation of new features.
Creating and updating product test plans in test database.
Creation of wiring interface drawings and support for wiring circuit audits.
Test and debug of HW and SW in the NLI system.
Creation of test plans based on feature specifications.
Creation of HW and SW interfaces to test features.
Creating internal test plans for feature validation.
Working with the supplier to validate and sign off infotainment features.
Fault finding to SW/HW/feature level.

Skills Required:
Knowledge of automotive processes.
Knowledge of SW and HW interfaces used in infotainment systems (BT, WiFi, USB etc.).
Knowledge of automotive electronics ie CAN, LIN, MOST, Flexray.
Organized & results orientated.
Committed to transforming & growing the infotainment dept.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Strong track record of analysis, highly numerate.
A competent user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience of Product development.
A self-starter.

Skills Preferred:
Electronics design and test.
Canalyser.
Test script creation.
Knowledge of testing CAN based vehicle infotainment systems.

Experience Required:
Knowledge of CAN based Vehicle infotainment systems, HW and SW interfaces.
Use of test and debug tools for CAN based system (canalyser, canoe, etc.).
Design and construction of test systems ( rigs, harnesses, etc.).

Education Required:
Degree educated in electronics or related subject
