Electrical Systems Engineer

A prestigious automotive OEM based in the Midlands is seeking to recruit a Hybrid Electrical Systems engineer to work within its hybrid division.

Position Description:
The successful Hybrid Electrical Systems Engineer will be involved in the following:

Development of the xHEV core systems engineering capability. Key tasks for the team include: - Lead the development of xEV Battery Systems Engineering Standards and Design Verification Methods (DVM), based on lessons learnt, best practice and industry knowledge. - Manage and organise requirements and DVM in DOORS. - Work with the xEV Systems team to agree and cascade xEV Battery Systems Requirements and DVM. - Work with Safety team to develop agree and cadcade xEV Battery Safety Requirements and DVM - Monitor legislative requirements and capture relevant requirements and/or DVM for the xEV battery team. - Support development of legislative standards at the relevant national and international forums.

Skills Required:
Systems Engineering Knowledge - Experience in robust component engineering development methods essential. - Confident communicator. - Strong organisational skills. - A high level of diligence and personal integrity. - Ability to work within a team. - Sound judgement.

Skills Preferred:
Safety Engineering Skills. 6 Sigma green belt or black belt experience.

Experience Required:
Proven track record of applying Systems Engineering Principles in the development of complex systems and/or components.

Experience Preferred:
Experience in delivery to GTDS and/or GPDS processes. Experience with WERS process. HEV, EV component development experience.

Education Required:
Degree level qualified in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering or closely related subject
